Arsenal’s 1-0 win at Manchester United on Sunday was their 27th in the Premier League this season.
This is a new club record for the Gunners in a 38-game campaign.
It surpassed the win total by the Invincibles in 2003/2004, the double winners in 2001/2002 and the tally last season.
Leandro Trossard scored for Arsenal as they returned to the top of the table, one point ahead of Manchester City who travel to Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday.
Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, when asked about the record, said: “That’s 27 wins in the Premier League.
It’s the most in the history of this football club in 130 years. That’s not progress, that’s history.”
