New Liverpool boss, Arne Slot, wants to build the team around four key players.
According to the UK Telegraph, one of them is Mohamed Salah.
Slot was officially confirmed as Jurgen Klopp’s successor on Monday.
Although the Dutchman is to begin work on June 1, he has already begun planning ahead for the new season.
Apart from Salah, Slot wants to work with captain Virgil van Dijk, who cast doubt over his own future after Klopp announced he was leaving Anfield.
Slot also wants to build the team around Trent Alexander-Arnold and Darwin Nunez.
The Dutchman views Nunez as a “critical” player and feels that some of his attributes are “extraordinary”.
