According to the EFCC, the suspects were arrested following credible intelligence about their suspected involvement in online criminal activities.
On Tuesday, operatives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) announced the arrest of 20 suspected internet fraudsters in Lugbe, Abuja.
This was contained in a statement posted on the commission’s X handle.
According to the EFCC, the suspects were arrested following credible intelligence about their suspected involvement in online criminal activities.
The identity of the suspects have not been disclosed as the anti-graft agency is still conducting further investigations.
They would be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
Items recovered from them include a car, laptops and phones.
