A combined patrol team of policemen and federal hunters on stop and search duty along Oputu road, Orhunwhorhun community in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, have arrested a 32 years old suspected armed robber,
Christopher Semede.
The Police also recovered one locally made cut-to-size double barrel pistol from the suspect.
The suspect was arrested on May 26, at about 1700hrs, DAILY POST can report.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe confirmed the report in a statement sent to our correspondent.
The Police image maker said the patrol team flagged down a motorcyclist carrying one passenger for a routine search.
“The suspect refused to stop and the team chased them. During the chase one of the suspects, Christopher Semede, ‘m’, 33 years, was arrested and one locally made cut-to-size double barrel pistol was recovered from him.
“A concerted effort to arrest the other fleeing suspect is ongoing.”
