Arsenal are considering a summer transfer move for Sporting CP winger Marcus Edwards.

Edwards, a former Tottenham Hotspur player, revitalised his career in Portugal with Vitoria de Guimaraes, netting 20 goals in 96 matches.

His performances earned him a permanent move to Sporting CP, where he contributed four goals and four assists in his second full season.

He helped Sporting secure their 20th Primeira Liga title.

Despite his talent, Edwards’ inconsistency has frustrated head coach Ruben Amorim, leading to his reduced role towards the end of the 2023/24 season.

However, according to O Jogo, Premier League clubs are now watching Edwards closely, and a return to England remains a possibility this summer, with Arsenal interested in the 25-year-old.

The Gunners are keen to bolster their manager Mikel Arteta’s squad this summer after missing out on the Premier League title to Manchester City last season.
