A “baby-faced k!ller” who sh0t de@d his ex-girlfriend and three others before turning the gun on himself has been pictured for the first time.
Charles Garvey, 21, who had a prior conviction relating to the r@pe of a 13-year-old girl three years ago, is thought to have shot de@d his ex-girlfriend Delaney Eary, 19, as well as Melissa Parrett, 44, Shane Miller, 20, and Hayden Rybicki. He later turned the gun on himself, MailOnline reports.
Police in the US state of Kentucky were called to Ridgecrest Drive in the town of Florence at around 3AM on Saturday, July 6.
The four victims were found de@d at the scene, along with another three people understood to have been critically injured in the attack.
Garvey fled the scene in his own vehicle before later crashing the car, where officers found him with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Parrett family are thought to have been celebrating a relative’s birthday at their pool when Garvey turned up.
Florence Police Chief Jeff Mallery said Garvey was known to the family, and that initial inquiries suggested he had acted alone.
Multiple photos posted on social media show Garvey holding a variety of firearms, including a sniper rifle, sidearm and shotgun.
Garvey was previously arrested and charged back in 2021 for the rape of a 13-year-old girl, receiving a sentence of five years’ probation for an ‘unlawful transaction with a minor in the second degree.”
Local press reported at the time that the victim had told police she’d been messaging Garvey on Snapchat prior to the incident.
Garvey, who was then aged 18, admitted to having sex with the girl when questioned by police.
Authorities say an investigation into the shooting on Saturday remains ongoing.
Chief Mallery said: “We’ve never dealt with this before. I know it’s going on throughout the nation, but this is the first time that we’ve had a mass shooting in Florence.
“It is very emotional. And my emotions are for the victims, their families, the officers that responded and everybody that was touched by this situation.”
