Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was left fuming with his players following a 1-0 defeat to Rosenborg in a pre-season fixture on Monday.
Noah Holm scored the only goal of the game with the last kick.
Ten Hag has now told his squad that they are nowhere near the standards he demands.
While most members of the first team are on vacation following their participation in Euro 2024, there were still outings for Mason Mount, Marcus Rashford and Casemiro.
Ten Hag told MUTV: “The result is not secondary and of course, we play pre-season but at Man United there is a standard: you win games, definitely, not lose games.
“If you can’t win games, don’t lose like we did in the end, in the last second of the game.
“Of course, the performance is more important and the performance was below standard.”
