Brazil head coach Arthur Elias is looking forward to his side’s opening women’s football Group C fixture against the Super Falcons of Nigeria, DAILY POST reports.
The 2024 Olympic Games clash will take place at the Matmut Atlantique Stadium in Bordeaux on Thursday.
The Brazilians have a perfect record against Nigeria, having beaten the Super Falcons in their two previous meetings.
Elias also tipped his team to go all the way in the women’s football event.
“The commitment of the team is great. We have got an increasingly strong group [of players], and we have a unity of thought,” he was quoted by FIFA.com.
“This is an important factor for the team to advance in such a difficult competition and also to win in the knockout phase.”
The encounter will kick off at 6 pm Nigerian time.
