Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has claimed that “two big mistakes” cost them as they lost 3-0 to Liverpool on Sunday.
The Red Devils lost their second game in three fixtures, thanks to a Luis Diaz brace and Mohamed Salah goal.
Ten Hag’s men now sit in 14th place with three points and a goal difference of -3.
Speaking to BBC Match of the Day, the Dutchman was asked about the game and he said: “It’s quite simple. We were in the game. It was equal after half an hour, then we made two big mistakes and Liverpool took them really well, good finishes, and they were very clinical. When you are 2-0 down against Liverpool, they are very dynamic. We brought someone on with legs.
“We tried to get it to 2-1. We had the shot with Joshua Zirkzee that could have done that, then we made another mistake. It was a really clinical finish from Mohamed Salah. I have to credit this and compliment Liverpool on how they finish. They were great goals.”
