Former Real Madrid defender, Sergio Ramos praised Kylian Mbappe following the Frenchman’s goal in his first Champions League game for La Liga giants.
Real Madrid were 3-1 better than their German opponents, VfB Stuttgart at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday.
Mbappe, who joined the club this summer, netted the opener for his side, scoring in the 46th minute when he connected to a through ball from Rodrygo.
The Bundesliga side equalised in the 68th minute through Denis Undav, but Antonio Rudiger scored Real Madrid’s second in the 83rd minute.
Endrick then scored a late stunner to seal the game for Los Blancos.
Mbappe’s goal meant the Frenchman has scored 49 Champions League goals, entering the top 10 list of all-time goalscorers in the competition, overtaking the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Andriy Shevchenko.
Mbappe celebrated by blowing kisses to the fans, recreating one of Ramos’ famous goal celebration style while the defender was with Real Madrid.
Ramos, who captained Real Madrid for many successful years, was excited to see the Frenchman open his Champions League account for the club.
He wished the former PSG star more goals in the club’s whites.
He posted a collage picture of him and Mbappe on Instagram with the caption, “How great my brother, for 1000 goals more… Enjoy!”
