Former Watford striker Troy Deeney has warned Marcus Rashford that he could be done with football before he turns 30.
The 27-year-old has struggled to live up to expectations under different managers over the past 18 months.
The England international has scored seven goals and provided three assists from 24 games across competitions for Manchester United this season.
Rashford’s future has come under further scrutiny following the arrival of new manager Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford last month.
Deeney told talkSPORT that the Manchester United youth team product needs to work hard and enjoy his football.
He said: “He’s 27 years old; he’s meant to be at the peak of his powers. All his finances are taken care of. All he needs to do is work hard and enjoy his football.
“Because if not, unfortunately, in two years, he’ll be out of the game. And I know that’s a strong statement, but where does he go from here? Where’s he going to allow himself to go?
“I genuinely want to help him. Most of the lads who struggle are the ones who go.”
