Jay-Z has revealed how he discovered that the Jane Doe r@pe accuser allegedly lied about his involvement and how attorney Tony Buzbee allegedly pressured her to sue him despite knowing the truth.
A private investigator, Charlotte Henderson, filed an affidavit on Wednesday stating that she met with Jane Doe on February 21, 2025, at the woman’s home in Alabama. During their conversation, Jane Doe allegedly admitted that Buzbee “pushed” her to include Jay-Z in the lawsuit.
According to the legal documents, Jane Doe claimed she originally told Buzbee that she was r@ped by Sean “Diddy” Combs in 2000 and wanted to sue him. However, she alleged that “Buzbee brought Jay-Z into it” and pushed her toward filing a case against him as well.
Henderson stated that Jane Doe acknowledged Jay-Z was present at the party where the alleged r@pe occurred but explicitly said he was not involved. Despite this, Buzbee proceeded with a civil lawsuit, accusing both Jay-Z and Diddy of sexually assaulting her. The case quickly unraveled after multiple media outlets uncovered inconsistencies in the woman’s allegations, leading her to dismiss the lawsuit last month.
Henderson’s meeting with Jane Doe took place a week after the case was dropped. She claimed that during their conversation, Jane Doe told her that Buzbee had approached her “shortly before” the lawsuit was dismissed and claimed that Jay-Z was threatening to kill her, which she cited as the reason for withdrawing the case.
Henderson stated that Jane Doe repeated at least four times that Jay-Z never assaulted her. However, when asked if she would sign an affidavit confirming that, Jane Doe allegedly responded, “But how does this help me?” Henderson also noted that Jane Doe appeared calm and did not seem fearful or intimidated during their discussion. She further clarified that she was not hired by Jay-Z or his legal team to investigate the case but did not disclose who, if anyone, had employed her.
Another private investigator, Ian Pillinger, also submitted an affidavit stating that he uncovered Jane Doe’s history in a mental health facility and that she had been there just 90 days before Buzbee sent a demand letter to Jay-Z on her behalf.
Jay-Z is now suing Buzbee for extortion and recently filed a separate lawsuit against both Buzbee and Jane Doe for malicious prosecution.
Buzbee, however, has denied the allegations, telling TMZ, “Each assertion is flat-out false and made up. Jane Doe called referring counsel, the Ava Law Group, and alleged she was assaulted by P. Diddy and Jay-Z before her case was EVER referred to our firm.
That’s indisputable. In fact, we have obtained the actual intake sheet from Ava Law Group’s intake personnel where Jane Doe signed up to be a client with them long before her case was ever sent to my firm. In that form, created by their firm, it shows who she was making the assertions against. Those investigators likely didn’t know that the paper trail will demonstrably prove what they say to be false.
“None of the actual documentation supports that false story that Jay-Z’s team is trying to sell the public.”
