Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has predicted the teams to finish in the Premier League top five this season.

According to Carragher, Chelsea will miss out from the final Premier League top five this season.

He noted that the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and Manchester City will finish in the top five of the Premier League this term.

The Englishman spoke on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football as he tipped Chelsea and Aston Villa to miss out from the top five.

“Looking at the fixtures and Newcastle having a game in hand, I think Nottingham Forest will just do it, I think Chelsea will miss out as they have the toughest fixtures,”Carragher said.

“Newcastle will make it and I think Man City will just make it as well [
joining Liverpool and Arsenal].

“Those last four fixtures, you would expect Man City to win all four, even with the troubles they have had this season. I think Aston Villa will just miss out.”

Currently, Liverpool, Arsenal, Nottingham, Chelsea and Newcastle are currently in the Premier League top five.
