Scottish snooker player, Graeme Dott has been accused of sexually abusing two children.

Dott faces two charges for allegedly abusing girl and a boy, who were both aged around 10 when the incidents are alleged to have occurred.

The 2006 World Snooker champion is alleged to have attacked the girl in the Glasgow area between 1993 and 1996.

According to The Scottish Sun, prosecutors claim the 47-year-old told the girl to ‘remove her lower clothing’ before ‘exposing his penis’ and ‘assaulting’ the minor.

In the second charge, Dott is accused of stripping naked and entering a shower being used by a small boy, who he is then alleged to have sexually assaulted between 2006 and 2010.

Following the allegations, the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association confirmed in a statement that Dott had been suspended with immediate effect while the case is ongoing.

“Graeme Dott has been suspended by the WPBSA due to a case which is scheduled to be heard before the High Court in Scotland,” the statement partly read.

This is coming just ten days from the start of the 2025 World Snooker Championship at the world-famous Crucible, where Dott triumphed over Peter Ebdon in a memorable final 19 years ago.
