A Ugandan preacher, Jonathan Nalebo, is currently trending on social media after he announced separation from his wife, Enid Mirembe, because she was “too perfect” for him to keep up with.
It was gathered that Jonathan and Enid, who have been together for seven years, were the envy of many because of their seemingly Godly and perfect relationship.
The preacher who made the announcement in a Facebook post on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, said they have mutually decided to part ways for the sake of peace and healing.
According to Jonathan, he failed to fully honor the values Enid carries.
He further wished that Enid would find someone who cherishes her in ways he failed to.
“After more than seven years together, Enid and I have come to a place where we’ve mutually agreed to part ways—for the sake of peace, healing, and the well-being of both of us,” he wrote.
Enid Mirembe is an incredible woman. In many ways, she was too perfect for me to keep up with, and I mishandled the treasure she was. I failed to fully honor the values she carried so gracefully in every area of life.
As a servant of God, I know I am called to lead by example—but I have fallen short. I was warned that the enemy often comes for the most precious things—and family is one of them. I now see how easily the enemy can sow division when we are not vigilant in prayer, humility, and love.
Our children are safe and deeply loved. They will be in the custody of their mother, and I trust she will continue to raise them with the wisdom and strength she’s always shown.
I wish Enid Mirembe nothing but the best. She deserves a love that honors her completely. I pray she finds someone who sees her heart and cherishes her in ways I failed to.
As for me, I return to the feet of Jesus. To seek Him more deeply, to serve Him more faithfully, and to become the man He originally called me to be. And if love ever comes again, I hope it finds me healed, whole, and more anchored in Christ.
Until then, stay blessed.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18.
