Portugal legend Luis Figo has assessed Barcelona’s chances of winning the treble this season, a feat they last achieved a decade ago.

Figo, a former Barcelona player himself, believes there is a real possibility that the Catalan giants could claim three major trophies this term.

Barcelona last secured the treble in the 2014–2015 season under the stewardship of Luis Enrique.

This season, Barcelona are competing on three fronts — LaLiga, the Champions League, and the Copa del Rey.

Hansi Flick’s side currently sit atop the LaLiga table ahead of Real Madrid.

They have reached the semi-final stage of the Champions League, where they will face Inter Milan, and are also set to contest the Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid.

Speaking in an interview with SPORT, Figo said Barcelona have a genuine chance to win the historic treble this season.

Figo said, “Well, they have that possibility, don’t they?”
