The actress had weeks ago taken to Instagram to call out Ghanaian TV stations for showing her movies without authorization.
Nigerian actress and filmmaker, Bimbo Ademoye has gotten a reply after calling out Ghanaian TV stations for airing her movies without permission.
She accused them of copyright violations against her movies in Ghana.
Ghanaian Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, Sam George and the Chief Executive Officer of the country’s National Film Authority (NFA), Kafui Danku, have now responded to the allegation.
Reacting, Sam George and Kafui Danku have both condemned the act.
They also assured that the issue will be resolved.
Sam George wrote, “My attention has been drawn to your post thanks to the tag. I would be raising the issue with my colleague minister responsible for overseeing television content.
“I, however wish to assure you that our government is very respectful of intellectual property rights and would ensure the protection of same. I believe Ghana and Nigeria have so much we can continue to collaborate on for our mutual benefit.”
Kafui Danku also added:
“Hi ma’am, my management and I are working on putting a stop to this. You should see definite actions in a couple of weeks,” she wrote.
