Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers stormed the residence of one Stephen Kwaghtomun, 37, k!lled him, and abducted his 27-year-old wife.
The sad incident occured at about 11:30pm on Tuesday night, April 29, in Aloshi, a town in Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
According to eyewitnesses, the armed assailants stormed the house and began shooting sporadically before executing the victim, popularly known as “Action,” and forcefully taking his wife to an undisclosed location.
“The entire community is still in shock,” said one resident who requested anonymity for fear of reprisal.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Nasarawa State Command, SP Ramhan Nansel, confirmed the incident in a statement on Wednesday, April 30.
“The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Keana division reported that the attack occurred around 11:30pm.
“Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers stormed the residence of one Stephen Kwaghtomun, killed him, and abducted his wife,” Nansel stated.
He added that the victim’s remains have been deposited at the General Hospital in Obi, while the police have launched a manhunt to track down the perpetrators and rescue the abducted woman.
