Barbra Streisand, 83, has sparked fresh curiosity about her long-rumored fling with Warren Beatty, 88, after revealing in an interview that she’s not sure if the two ever had s3x.
In a conversation with The New Yorker published on June 14, the iconic A Star Is Born singer-actress reflected on the relationship she first opened up about in her 2023 memoir, My Name Is Barbra.
“I know I slept in the bed with him, but I can’t remember if we actually had penetration,” she said. “I swear to God, I can’t. There are certain things I block out.”

Streisand quickly shifted the topic when pressed further, adding, “But I know we’re still friends. Every year on my birthday, he calls me and we have a wonderful talk about our lives, our children, and so forth.”
The pair’s friendship dates back nearly 70 years. Streisand met Beatty when she was just 16 and he was 21 at the Clinton Playhouse in Connecticut. In her memoir, she recalled him as “tall with movie-star looks,” and noted that “women were already falling at his feet.”
In a 1977 Playboy interview, Streisand casually referred to Beatty as “one of my flings,” though she later admitted she had tossed off the remark in a jaded tone.

Despite the ambiguity around the physical nature of their relationship, Streisand said she and Beatty remained close, though there’s “some water under that bridge.”
She also recounted a recent phone call between them. “We were talking politics and who knows what else when he said, ‘I remember why we broke up,’” she wrote. “I said, ‘When were we together?’”
After hanging up, Streisand reflected, “I kind of remember. I guess I did. Probably once.”
Regardless of what may or may not have happened between them, the two have maintained what Streisand described as a “friendship for life.”
Both went on to marry. Streisand tied the knot with actor James Brolin, 84, in 1998, while Beatty married actress Annette Bening, 67, in 1992.
Brolin, in a recent interview with Today, offered a glimpse into their nearly 30-year marriage, saying, “The best investment we’ve ever made is our mattress… We’re both lazy. We love to sleep late. We do a lot of our work on the phone, on paper, reading, right next to each other.”
