Arsenal goalkeeper, David Raya, has backed his international teammate Lamine Yamal to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
This year’s award will be handed out to the winner on Monday, October 26.
Yamal is one of the leading candidates for the prize, alongside notable names like Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe and Rodri.
Raya believes that Yamal deserves it as he enjoyed an “incredible” season last year, winning the LaLiga title and World Cup trophy.
“I hope Lamine Yamal wins the Ballon d’Or this year… He had an incredible season,” Raya said.
“He brings that joy of getting to see that street football again.”
