Flamingos head coach, Akeem Busari has described his team’s progress to the final of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup as a great achievement.
The Nigerian girls defeated Brazil 3-1 in their semi-final encounter at the Mohammed VI Football Complex Pitch 3, Rabat on Wednesday night.
The Flamingos, who lost their opening fixture 2-1 to Poland, became the second nation since 2014 to recover and reach the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup final.

It’s the first time an African country will be playing in the final of the competition.
