Poland U-17 women’s head coach, Paulina Kawalec is targeting a positive start against Nigeria’s Flamingos at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
The Poles will open their campaign at the tournament against Akeem Busari’s side at the Mohammed V1 Football Complex Pitch 4, Rabat on Saturday (today).
The Europeans will also face defending DPR Korea, and Puerto Rico in Group B.
Kawalec said it is important for his team to start the competition on a winning note.
“Opening games at big tournaments are always of huge importance. In our group, the game against Nigeria could be particularly important and have a major influence on how the rest of the tournament unfolds,” Kawalec told FIFA.
The encounter will kick-off at 7pm Nigeria time.
