The head coach of Benin Republic, Gernot Rohr, has predicted that Nigeria will beat Gabon in their 2026 World Cup qualifying playoffs next wek.

Rohr believes that the Super Eagles will be the ones to play for the continental ticket against DR Congo.

DR Congo will take on Cameroon in the other semi-final clash.

According to Rohr, Nigeria possess more quality in their team and will see off the Panthers easily.

“Aubameyang was a young player at that time (2012), and their captain, Bruno Ecuele Manga, is still there,” Rohr told Nation Sport.

“But I think Nigeria has better players.

“If they play collectively like they did against Benin, I think they can beat Gabon.”
