His comments come days after Wike and the APC governors had a spat online.
Shortly after having a closed-door meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, the APC Governors’ Forum, led by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, openly kicked against Wike’s Rainbow Coalition group. They stated that they will not support or engage in any political arrangement that is not wholeheartedly in support of all APC candidates.
Wike, in his response, dismissed their position, accusing them of being ‘’Smart but lazy”. He argued that he never promised to work for APC candidates at the subnational levels. Wike, who is a member of the PDP, said his promise is to work for the re-election of Tinubu but will work for the election of his party members. He described the APC governors as ‘’Smart but lazy’ politicians.
