Sahara reporters have uncovered an exclusive $1.3milion Maryland, United States mansion acquired by late former Governor Abiola Ajimobi in 2016.

Sources at the code of conduct revealed that the property was not listed among the properties and assets declared by the former governor of Oyo state until his tenure in office elapsed in 2019 when he also lost the bid to return to the senate.

The residential mansion located at 10821 Symphony Park Drive, Rockville, Maryland United States was rumoured to have been bought at a fee of $1.347,200 million US dollars which is about N522,713,600 Million Naira and attracting an annual tax of $18,198 equivalencies to N7,060,824million naira.

Late Abiola Ajimobi who is presently having a case with the Oyo state government headed by Governor Seyi Makonde over the revocation of 48 plots of lands allotted In Ajimobi’s name.

The Code of Conduct laws of Nigeria forbids serving public officials from operating bank accounts and purchasing a property outside the country.

The United States mansion was acquired during Abiola Ajimobi’s second tenure in office which contravenes this law.
