Former Liverpool midfielder, Graeme Souness has claimed that there is only one world class player in England.
According to him, Tottenham striker, Harry Kane is the only world class player in England.
Souness, an ‘enormous fan’ of Kane, went ahead to give him a new name – ‘Mr Goals’.
Kane scored twice, taking his total so far in the Premier League to 15 as Tottenham beat Crystal Palace 4-0 on Wednesday night at Selhurst Park.
Only Manchester City’s Erling Haaland has scored more goals than Kane in the Premier League this season
Souness reckons the England captain is the only Englishman who can claim to be world class.
“He’[Kane] is a class act. He is the one England player who is truly world class, for me.
“I’m an enormous fan…I think they’ll finish in the top four simply because of him. Because he has goals. He’s Mr Goals,” Souness told Sky Sports.
