Arsenal legend Ian Wright has said that he would have picked Alejandro Garnacho in Manchester United’s attack instead of £85 million summer signing Antony.
Wright, a former England striker, says Garnacho would have added more fire upfront in the game against Arsenal than Antony.
Antony joined Manchester United from Ajax last summer and scored on his debut for the Red Devils.
He flattered to deceive against Arsenal on Sunday before being replaced by Fred in the second half.
Wright was surprised the Brazilian was chosen ahead of lively 18-year-old Garnacho.
“I would have gone with Garnacho,’ the former Arsenal and England striker said on The Kelly and Wrighty Show.
“I would have gone with him because I’m yet to see it from Antony. I’m not seeing enough at the moment to think he’s going to be the one.
“I would have thought Garnacho would start.”
