Chelsea are reportedly unwilling to let key defender Trevoh Chalobah leave Stamford Bridge in the ongoing January transfer window despite transfer interest for the player.
Chalobah has established himself as a key squad member at Stamford Bridge since returning from a season-long loan spell at Lorient in 2021.
However, the 23-year-old has fallen behind in the pecking order at Chelsea because of multiple defensive arrivals.
As a result, Chalobah has attracted interest from Inter Milan and other European clubs this January, as per Evening Standard.
Speaking about Chalobah’s future at Chelsea, British journalist, Simon Phillips, shared his thoughts on Give Me Sport.
Phillips said, “On the club side of things, Chelsea, at the moment, are not willing to listen to offers for Chalobah because they want him for depth, and they need him in the squad. They like his versatility. They are not ready to entertain any offers this month.”
Chalobah had last November signed a contract extension with the Blues until June 2028.
