Former Newcastle goal machine, Alan Shearer has backed Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season.
He believes the Gunners would win the title race over rivals Manchester City and become champions again for the first time in almost 20 years.
Arsenal beat Aston Villa 4-2 on Saturday to climb back to the top of the Premier League table, while Manchester City failed to defeat Nottingham Forest.
Discussing the weekend matches on Match of the Day, Shearer was asked for his prediction on the Premier League title race.
“I think they [Arsenal] will do it, I really do,” he said.
Talking about Arsenal’s game yesterday, the Premier League legend said, “Based on the second-half, Arsenal deserved the three points today.
