Chelsea legend, Frank Leboeuf, has suggested that it would be a good idea for the Blues, under the leadership of Todd Boehly, to replace current manager Graham Potter with former Real Madrid head coach, Zinedine Zidane.
Chelsea are currently undergoing a dismal run of form as they are winless in their last five games and have won only two of their last 15 games.
Potter’s men suffered a devastating 1-0 loss to bottom-placed Southampton in their last Premier League tie on Saturday.
Calls for Potter to be sacked have garnered strength in the past few hours, but Lebeouf believes Zidane will be the ideal candidate to replace Potter at Stamford Bridge.
When asked whether Zidane would accept Chelsea’s call, Lebeouf told ESPN, “I don’t know, but it would be a very good idea, I would be very pleased.
“I never asked him if he wanted to come to England. I asked him if he didn’t speak English, but he responded in English. So, you know, he speaks English a little bit.
“Yeah, he could be in charge of Chelsea, and I would be very, very happy about it.”
Zidane, who has been out of managerial duties since 2021, recently revealed his desire to return to management this year.
