Manchester United defender, Phil Jones, has named identified the likes of Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez as the Red Devils players who have transformed the club.
Jones, who will be out of contract at the end of the season, believes the trio have been “instrumental” in Manchester United’s success so far this season.
He spoke as Man United defeated Newcastle United 2-0 to win the EFL Cup final on Sunday at Wembley.
“Casemiro, Eriksen, Martinez, they have come in and been instrumental this season, been fantastic,” Jones said on Sky Sports.
“You look at Casemiro, not just the way he defends. It is the way he sets up the attacks for the likes of Marcus and Antony and those quick players in the wide areas to create crosses and score goals.
“It is not just him, I think the manager has been one of the best signings as well, he has been instrumental to it.”
