The presidential candidate of Labour party, Peter Obi, has been declared the winner of the presidential election in Delta state.
According to the results released by INEC, Obi polled a total of 341,866 to edge out his closest rival , PDP’s Atiku Abubakar who polled a total of 161,600 votes while APC’s Bola Tinubu polled 90,183 votes to come third. The candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso came distant fourth with 3,122 votes.
According to INEC, out of 667,149 accredited voters, 654,650 votes were recorded. They said that 615,341 votes were recorded as valid while 39,309 votes were rejected.
