A lot is happening in the camp of former governor of Lagos state and national leader of APC Bola Ahmed Tinubu popularly known as the Jagaban of Lagos.
From the genesis, Tinubu did not just become a political godfather and political lord. The Oando former accountant was governor of Lagos between 1999 to 2007.
He administered the affairs of the states as a single party governor of the then defunct Alliance for Democracy overcoming many issues with the former president-chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
Ever since Tinubu has been recommending and installing party faithful and his loyalist as governor of Lagos.
He single-handedly led the party to spread its wings throughout the southwest and joined forces with the CPC of Muhammadu Buhari and some members of the PDP to establish the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
Tinubu is not just called the Jagaban of Lagos as a bluff. Tinubu is not just a politician but a master class politician.
Tinubu has never lost a political battle.
Tinubu has become a political master plan that cannot be sidelined by any serious politician.
When you see political lightweights attempting to unravel the mystery of a man who not only rose to become a treasurer in ExxonMobil and a Senator in 1992, but also became a governor and has controlled Lagos politics since 1999 by defeating people like Bode George, Dapo Sarumi, Sasore, willie, kukoyi and the PDP led government since 1999, then you need to question their basic understanding of politics. Even those that opposed him like Seye Ogunlewe and Obanikoro had to come to his side in order to remain relevant in the realms of Politics.
Tinubu is a power broker and strategists.
The bone of contention now a that Tinubu who helped and delivered the whole of the southwest to the APC aiding Muhammadu Buhari to win the 2015 controversial presidential election is now considered to be sidelined and may be cast out or politically rendered weak for his rumoured ambition to contest the 2023 presidential election.
This has caused factions in the APC. Tinubu loyalist and national chairman of the party Comrade Adams Oshiomole has also be suspended by an order of the Court.
There are rumours that some factions of the APC are trying to scheme out Tinubu and his loyalist as well as truncate any move to allow the presidential ticket to the southwest under the flagship of the APC.
There are also rumoured speculations that the Hausa/Fulani cabal may not be willing to surrender power to the south.
PDP stalwart Reno Omokri and Femi Fani Kayode(FFK) in their open letter to Tinubu insisted that the former governor of Lagos is just a tool used by the northern section of the APC and that the north will never hand over power to the north.
Awolowo and MKO Abiola were used as examples of past southern leaders who were presidentially ambitious.
Right now the APC is collapsing and it will need the intervention of the President and senior members of the party to put it in place.
Tinubu, on the other hand, has lost loyalists, the political structures are falling and party betrayal is utmost at the moment.
The last straw that about to kill the horse is the National Working Committee meeting that was held with Tinubu and his loyalist in absentia.
Tinubu as said it over time that he always expects the unexpected and that he knows when betrayal is coming well many might think the Jagaban Borgu lost out this time but believe me the Asiwaju is like Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool who lost out in the champions league final and won the other season and lost the league by a point and has now been crowned champions with 23 points to go.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed is a mentality monster and he is the greatest genius in the plight of politics in modern-day Nigeria you and others think Baba Eko lost out but believe me he is coming back stronger.
Tinubu is an idealist and may not be contesting the 2023 presidential election. He may be doing it for another candidate yet unknown to the public.
