Chuba Akpom continued his impressive scoring form as Middlesbrough defeated Swansea City 3-1 in their Sky Bet Championship clash on Saturday night.

Akpom scored Boro’s third goal from the penalty spot 13 minutes from time.

The Nigerian-born forward has now scored 22 goals in 29 league appearances for Michael Carrick’s side this season.

The 27-year-old was replaced by Sonny Finch deep into stoppage time.

Akpom is currently the leading scorer in the Championship.

Middlesbrough are third on the log with 60 points from 35 games.
