Napoli manager, Luciano Spalletti has explained why Victor Osimhen is now better than ever.

Osimhen grabbed a brace as the Partenopei sealed a place in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League after thrashing Bundesliga club, Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 on Wednesday night.

The Nigeria international also scored in the first leg.

Spalletti’s side won the Round of 16 contest 5-0 on aggregate.

Osimhen opened the scoring from a towering header late in the first half.

The forward added the second on 53rd minute after he was set up by captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo.

“He is an excellent striker who can be a bit of a soloist and makes these sudden surges, but he also has to combine with the rest of the team. He is starting to do that now and we are very happy,” Spalletti told Sky Italia after the game.

Osimhen has now scored 23 goals in 28 appearances across all competitions for Napoli this season.
