Retired sprinter Usain Bolt said he has thanked Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag for ‘bringing the glory days back’ to Old Trafford.
Bolt said he met the Dutchman at the weekend and appreciated the good work he is doing at Old Trafford already.
United won the Carabao Cup in February to end their six-year wait for silverware and the world’s greatest sprinter expressed gratitude to the United boss.
“I actually asked him about who we’re going to bring in in the summer and he was like ‘do you have any ideas?’,” Bolt told the PA.
“The first thing I said to him was ‘thank you’. That’s the first thing I said and he was like ‘thanks for what?’ I was like ‘for bringing the glory days back’.
