The referee that would officiate the UEFA Champions League quarter-final first-leg tie between Manchester City and Bayern Munich has been revealed.
According to UEFA, Jesús Gil Manzano will referee the Champions League first-leg quarter-final between Manchester City and Bayern Munich at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night.
Manzano will lead an all-Spanish team of match officials at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday that includes the likes of Diego Barbero and Ángel Nevado.
The 39-year-old has taken charge of 28 games so far this season, showing 144 yellow cards and eight red cards.
Manzano, who has never refereed a game involving Manchester City, showed ten yellow cards during a recent clash between Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea.
Overviewing proceedings will be Video Assistant Referee Juan Martínez Munuera and Assistant Video Assistant Referee Alejandro Hernández, while José Luis Munuera has been named as the Fourth Official.
