A German pundit, Florian Plettenberg, has reportedly claimed that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen will definitely join Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in the summer with top European clubs set to enter into bidding wars for the striker.
Since joining Italian outfit, Napoli, from Lille in 2020, Osimhen has grown to become an integral part of Luciano Spalletti’s side and the 24-year-old is enjoying a brilliant season, scoring 25 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions to help Spalletti’s side sit 16 points clear in the Serie A table and reach the Champions League last eight.
While it is highly believed that the forward would be departing the Italian outfits at the end of the season with Manchester United believed to be his possible destination, Plettenberg in a tweet said he was confident that the former Lille striker would be joining the Bavarians with talks between the parties set to hold next week.
He wrote,
“Osimhen: The 24-year-old top striker would definitely join Bayern in summer!.”
“Confirmed again and today. Bayern bosses like him a lot. His management and the player are aware of it. More talks could follow in the next weeks. It is all about the price and Tuchel.”
Bayern are yet to get a suitable replacement for Robert Lewandowski since he left for Barcelona last summer and the club will be glad to have Osimhen join the club but know that Napoli will demand for a fee in the region of €120million for their most-prized asset.
