Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde on Monday paid a solidarity visit to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State at Government House, Yola.
Speaking to journalists, Makinde assured the people of Adamawa that Independent National Electoral Commission will do the right thing.
He said the people of Adamawa have spoken and their decision would be respected by the concerned authorities.
He described the action of the Adamawa Resident Electoral Commissioner as a “shame” and expressed optimism that the right thing will be done.
Makinde is the first among the G-5 governors or any member of the PDP governors forum to pay a solidarity visit to Fintiri since the controversial declaration of the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Sen. Aishatu Binani, as governor-elect by the suspended REC.
