Legendary Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger has tipped his former team to win the Premier League title this year.
Wenger’s teams finished top of England’s top flight three different times, including going an entire season unbeaten in 2003/2004.
The Gunners currently top the table with 74 points, four more than City who have an outstanding fixture.
When asked if City are now firm favourites to win it, Wenger said on beIN Sports: “No, no, no. I would say Arsenal still [will win the title].
“What you want in this position is to have things in your hand. If Arsenal win their games, they win the league so that’s an ideal position with a few games to go.
“Of course, Man City have an opportunity when they play Arsenal and that could be the decider in the championship.
“I still fancy Arsenal, I’m not completely objective here, but I do. We will also have to see how much the Champions League takes out of Man City.”
Arsenal host bottom-placed Southampton at the Emirates Stadium this Friday.
Manchester City face Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-final second leg on Wednesday, before playing Sheffield United in the semi-finals of the FA Cup on Saturday.
But sides will then face off at the Etihad on Wednesday.
