Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel broke a slalom pole in frustration over his players’ conduct during a training session on Thursday, April 27.
Eyewitnesses said the 49-year-old was not satisfied with how Bayern stars presented themselves in the final game on the diamond small field, a training form with cut corners. Tuchel tried to correct the attacking patterns and player movement several times, but to no avail. Out of sheer frustration, the ex-Chelsea boss grabbed a slalom pole and broke it with his knee whilst discussing the issue with his assistant coaches.
Thomas Tuchel is already under pressure at Bayern Munich, despite only having been in charge for seven games. The former Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain head coach has won just twice since taking over from Julian Nagelsmann.
The reigning Bundesliga champions have also been knocked out of every cup competition, including the DFB-Pokal after a surprise defeat to Freiburg at the quarter-final stage; not to mention their Champions League exit to Manchester City.
