Wolves manager, Julen Lopetegui has named Brighton as ‘the best team now playing football in the world’.

Brighton are currently eighth in the Premier League table, just five points behind fifth-placed Aston Villa.

The Seagulls also have three games in hand, and were once within the top earlier in the season under Graham Potter.

They have beaten top teams such Chelsea, who they beat twice, Liverpool in the league and FA Cup and against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup.

The Seagulls will be locking horns with Wolves at the weekend at the back of a shocking 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest.

However, Wolves’ boss believes their next opponent is the best team in the world.

“In my opinion, the best team now playing football in the world is Brighton,” Wolves manager told reporters during press conference ahead of the game,

“They play in a different way than the rest of the teams – they are very good.”
