Barcelona sporting director, Mateu Alemany, has claimed that the upcoming summer transfer window will be an interesting one for the Blaugrana amid reports linking their former captain to Lionel Messi’s Camp Nou.
As this summer’s transfer window approaches, all eyes are on Barcelona’s potential reunion with Messi, with Alemany hinting at a thrilling summer for the Spanish La Liga leaders.
Speaking to Movistar, Alemany acknowledged that Barcelona continuously evaluated potential moves throughout the year and that this particular summer would be “interesting.”
He said, “Although it seems that the market opens in summer, the obligation of the technical secretariat of the sports management is to be ‘non-stop’ analyzing what happens in the first team and in the lower categories throughout the year. We’ve been doing it and anticipating situations.”
“When the season ends, we’ll see what happens in exits and entrances. It’ll be an interesting summer, I will tell you.”
