Former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville has claimed that Chelsea played Arsenal “back into confidence” on Tuesday night.
The Gunners went into the game on the back of three draws and a defeat to Manchester City.
However, a double from Martin Odegaard and a goal from Gabriel Jesus saw Arsenal defeat Chelsea 3-1 at the Emirates.
The win has taken Mikel Arteta’s men back to the top of the Premier League with 78 points.
They have two more points than Manchester City, who host West Ham on Wednesday.
Neville tweeted: “I actually fancied Chelsea pre-match with Arsenal having had a difficult couple of weeks!
“But they’ve played Arsenal back into confidence. Shambles!”
