An 18-year-old suspected drug dealer, Muhammed Audu has been arrested for r@p!ng a 5-year-old girl in Kayeri village of Fune LGA of Yobe state.
The incident happened on Sunday, April 30, 2023, while the victim accompanied her older sister to hawk kolanut around Kabul area in Kayeri community. Audu reportedly sent the girl to help him get something.
He however followed her immediately without the knowledge of her sister and took her into an uncompleted mosque in the Kabul area where he raped her. The minor was left bleeding and with bruises by the suspect.
He attempted to run after hearing footsteps but was apprehended. Audu has now been handed to the police in Damagum town for further investigation.
