A new image has emerged from the Champions League semi-final first leg between Real Madrid and Manchester City, showing that the ball went out of play before the English champions scored their equalizer.
Manchester City fired back through Kevin de Bryune after Vinicius Jr had put the home side in front earlier in the first half.
Pep Guardiola’s side was in possession for most of the first half but allowed Real Madrid go in front through a marvellous goal from Vinicius.
Real protested De Bruyne’s goal, however, with the Spanish giants adamant the ball went out of play shortly before the City playmaker found the back of the net.
Several Real Madrid players protested and their manager Carlo Ancelotti appealed for a throw-in after a pass down the line from Kyle Walker appeared to be kept in play rather nimbly by Bernardo Silva right on the touchline.
Now a new image has shown the ball actually went out of play.
beIN SPORTS used multiple camera angles from inside the stadium to create a 3D projection and this shows the whole ball did cross the line by millimetres.
