Manchester United legend, Gary Neville has mocked Arsenal after their title challenge ended on Sunday with a heavy defeat to Brighton at the Emirates Stadium.
The former Premier League star was left in awe of Brighton after their 3-0 Premier League win against Arsenal on Sunday.
Following their 5-1 defeat to Everton last weekend, Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi had warned Mikel Arteta and his men to be ready for a totally different Seagulls at the Emirates on Sunday.
But the warning appeared to have fallen on deaf ears and the Gunners were embarrassed in front of their home fans and ended their title chase.
The Gunners have looked like the best team in England for the large part of the domestic season and Brighton’s 3-0 win at the Emirates came across as even more impressive to Neville.
“Arsenal for much of this season have been the best team in the country, and they [Brighton] have just absolutely taken them to the cleaners.
“Shock for [Mikel] Arteta. They’ve toyed with them – absolutely toyed with them…
“…I absolutely love watching every single second of what you’ve done this season but [this] is just absolute joy.”
