Chelsea are now free to sign £60m rated midfielder, Moises Caicedo this summer after manager Roberto de Zerbi’s confirmation.
Chelsea had a £60million opening offer knocked back in the January transfer window for Caicedo as Brighton was unwilling to sell the 21-year-old.
However, De Zerbi has admitted Brighton could lose Caicedo this summer.
Speaking to Sky Sports after Brighton’s 3-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates, De Zerbi said: “For sure, we will lose some players.
“Maybe Caicedo, maybe Mac Allister. We have to be ready to bring in other good players.”
Chelsea are very much interested in a deal for Caicedo as they feel that they need to add another box-to-box midfielder to the squad to help ease the pressure on their midfield.
