Former Roma midfielder, David Pizarro has warned manager Jose Mourinho against leaving the club ahead of next season.

Pizarro said that Mourinho promised the Roma squad that he would try to win the Scudetto in his third year.

Mourinho is wanted by Paris Saint-Germain, where he would be reunited with his former Real Madrid assistant Luis Campos.

But Pizarro told Il Corriere dello Sport: “I hope not.

“Jose [Mourinho] promised the squad [Roma players] that in the third year, he would try to win the Scudetto.

“An account that he wants to follow up on his words even if it’s clear that his team needs at least three champions to achieve this objective.”
