The priest of the Catholic Diocese of Nnewi, Anambra State, Rev Father Stanislaus Mbamara, who was kidnapped by gunmen has regained freedom.

The Chancellor of the Diocese, Rev. Fr. Raphael Ezeogu, confirmed the priest’s release on Sunday night, June 4, thanking everyone for their prayers.

“With joy, Nnewi Diocese is announcing that today(Sunday), June 4, 2023, Rev. Fr. Stanislaus Mbamara, kidnapped two days ago has been liberated. We sincerely thank all of you who joined in prayer for God’s intervention. Please, join us in happily acknowledging God’s compassion once again palpably manifested.
